KUROKI GOISHI TEN was established in 1917 by
Soujiro Kuroki.
Based on his ideas, Kazushi Kuroki ( Soujiro Kuroki's son )
has created the basic philosophy of KUROKI GOISHI TEN.
“Human beings use Go Stones, and I
believe human beings and Go Stones can contact each other via
the soul, So they must be natural and at the same time, they
should be hand made.”
This basic philosophy has continued to be passed down to the
present day.
Today, even in a world of advanced technology, KUROKI GOISHI
TEN continues to produce Go Stones using the hands of craftsmen.
Each stone goes through a 3-month, 24-stage Process and every
craftsman touches it at least once, sees it with their own eyes,
talks to it, and turns it into a Go Stone that is capable of
expressing the thoughts of the Go player.
We at KUROKI GOISHI TEN have continued to provide Go Stones
to the world and we have the utmost confidence that we are making
the best use of the clam shell's good point, pursuing practicality
and art in Go Stone's shape and texture.
As long as there is Go calture in this world, we are sure that
our philosophy towards Go Stones will hot change. |
